The Role

We are a forward-thinking development team who focus on blending the latest Microsoft Technologies with suitable open source systems, if it's a good fit for the business nothing is off the table.

Our SaaS core platform is written in C# both on the full .Net Framework and .Net Core 2.0, with all of our web applications being upgraded to run on ASP.Net Core.

We are looking for the right candidate to help us architect efficient, scalable and testable code within a highly skilled team, to enable us to scale our platform and introduce business critical features to our customers on a weekly basis.

As leaders in our marketplace we focus on the automotive sector and have clients ranging from Franchised Dealers to small, independent garages. Our services include designing, building and hosting automotive websites with a product range that also includes advert and stock management, finance solutions, email marketing suites and live chat products.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a rapidly expanding team as it continues to enhance its core offering to customers across the UK and beyond. The role offers flexible working around core hours of 10 am until 4pm, some with flexibility required.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to follow user stories, tasks and bugs raised by the product development team to turn the requirements in to architected solutions.
  • Work within the team on shared ownership of the technical platform, by performing code reviews, testing, retrospectives & most importantly mentoring of developers.
  • Providing feedback to the product development team as required.
  • Provide 3rd Line Support as required.

Essential Skills

  • C# and / or ReactJS.
  • Understanding of Relational & Non-Relational Database technologies.
  • Proven experience of delivering web applications / API's / Background Services over several years.
  • Experience using Git.
  • Being keen to learn new techniques and technologies.
  • A passion for software development.

Desirable Skills

  • An understanding of CQRS.
  • Experience of Akka.Net.
  • Experience of Microsoft Azure.
  • Ability to demonstrate open source participation.
